Note: this position is an in house credit analyst position in Adams, MA Park Street branch.
Job Purpose:
Actively participate in and foster the ACB Culture of excellence while supporting the Bank’s strategic initiatives.
Provide above and beyond quality analysis and examination of commercial credit risk in a timely manner. Prepare exemplary credit related reports for presentation to management along with making sound recommendations regarding financing decisions.
Consistently and effectively manage behavior within ACB’s established customer service standards and core values while adhering to all established Bank Policy and procedures.
Critical Drivers:
- Analysis and underwrites new loan requests for quality credit decisions
- Financial Reviews of existing loan relationship
Duties and Precise Tasks:

- Adhere to all ACB policies and procedures.
- Analyze the financial condition of businesses and evaluate the quality and sufficiency of various sources of repayment, collateral and the appropriateness of credit structures for new loan and renewal requests.
- Analyze the applicant’s business plan, financial statements and tax returns, and cash flow related to new loan requests and credit line renewals.
- Prepare loan presentations for approval by Loan Officer, Loan Committee, Executive Committee and Board as necessary, providing adequate details of the credit structure, management, collateral evaluation, background of the business and industry, provide assessment and adequacy of deal structure, risk ratings and creditworthiness.
- Prepares annual reviews on all required commercial loan relationships including a complete analysis of annual financial statements and tax returns, collateral evaluation, payment history, risk rating review and reaffirmation, and adverse industry or economic changes.
- Recommends approval or denial of credit line renewals as well as recommendations on credit risk ratings.
- Prepare loan presentations for approval by Loan Officer, Loan Committee, Executive Committee and Board, as necessary.
- Financial Management; spreading, forecasting and stress testing.
- Maintain commercial credit and legal files in accordance with bank standards.
- Assists loan officers in the analysis/feasibility of workouts.
- May attend loan committee meetings.
- Maintain professional level of expertise by attending appropriate schools, seminars, etc.
- Adhere to telephone and communication standards when interacting with customers/employees.
- Perform additional duties as requested.
