Location: Main Office at Colegrove Park Elementary School

This is a school year only position with an additional 5 days before the start of school, and an additional 5 days after the end of school. It is for 7.5 hours per day for 5 days per week. The hours for this position are from 7: 30am to 3:30 pm.

Job Goal: To Provide the best educational experience for the school's students.

Supervision: Reports to the Building Principal.

Performance Responsibilities:

Acts as school receptionist.

Organizes and maintains school files.

Maintains school administrative and student records.

Stamps, sorts, and distributes mail.

Sorts incoming inter-office mail.

Filing

Book keeping as needed

Operate standard office machines and equipment related to clerical and typing assignments including computer, typewriter, calculator, copier, and postage and fax machines.

Orders and maintains supplies as needed.

Arranges for use of facilities.

Any other related duties as assigned by Administration.

Proficient or working knowledge of PowerSchool.

Special Knowledge/Abilities: Knowledge of computer programs (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerSchool, District e-mail); knowledge of high level of correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary; knowledge of strong interpersonal skills, including tact, patience, courtesy, and confidentiality; working knowledge of the District and location of schools and staff members.

  • Required: High School Diploma or its equivalent (i.e., G.E.D.).

    Preferred: Two plus years of prior work experience.

    Physical Requirements: The position requires a moderate amount of walking, standing, sitting and climbing stairs and step stool whenever necessary. Activities also include moderate physical exertion in body movement such as reaching, bending, twisting, grasping, pushing, and pulling of objects. The position requires lifting objects of 20 pounds on a frequent basis, and over 20 pounds occasionally. There is a frequent requirement of fine manipulation associated with the required use of a computer, typewriter, keyboard, calculator, and other business machines.

    Anticipated start date: October 28, 2024.

    Salary is per the Paraprofessional contract. Entry level starts at $15.97. Consideration given for years of experience for placement on the payscale.
