Contracts Specialist / Paralegal

JOB SUMMARY:           The Contracts Specialist / Paralegal will be responsible for supporting the complete Contract Life Cycle for prospective and active government contracts and sales agreements.  Key responsibilities include contract legal review, research and understanding of FAR and DFAR terms and conditions, customer follow-up and contract submissions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with US and international government contracts
  • Assist in the management of GSA, HIRE and Municipal Bids processing
  • Bid submission review, evaluation and approval, identifying any potential compliance issues
  • Support ITAR (International Traffic In Arms Regulations) export compliance
  • Review and negotiate terms and conditions during the Pre- and Post-award stages of the acquisition and procurement process
  • Review contract in partnership with Government Sales Manager and Sales Administration
  • Monitor contract performance and requirements, communicating and coordinating external and internal stakeholders
  • Coordinates inspection and acceptance of vehicles prior to shipping to customers or conventions
  • Undertake relevant training and development as required

  • Adhere to and carry out existing work practices, procedures and policies
  • Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate
  • Understand and comply with safety and environmental policies
  • Exercises discretion and individual judgement with respect to Company matters
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • BA in Business or related field
