Berkshire County Arc is a non-profit human service agency that has been providing community-based services to adults with developmental disabilities and/or brain injuries for over 50 yrs. Berkshire County Arc’s mission is to assist and support individuals in their quest to identify and realize their chosen lifestyles. This is accomplished through various programs offered: residential homes including independent apartments, employment services, day programs, adult family care, transitions, advocacy & family support, special needs pooled trusts and a mail-house staffed by people with disabilities that serves dozens of businesses across Western Massachusetts.

Berkshire County Arc’s programs are offered in Berkshire County and Pioneer Valley. We serve nearly 1,000 individuals per year and have over 700 dedicated staff.

New Position!!!

Join Berkshire County Arc’s dynamic leadership team!  This leadership position will oversee all community program services and supports for individuals with disabilities and their families.  Services include: day and employment services, vocational evaluation services, and family support & advocacy services. 

This position will also be in charge of the exploration of new property and real estate to support new initiatives and programs. 

The V.P. will integrate sound business management and an entrepreneurial philosophy in program design in relation to expanding services, incorporating new approaches and practices in the field of services for individuals with disabilities. 



  • Master’s degree in human services or related field. Must have 7-10 years senior management experience overseeing programs that work with the disabled. Business management background a plus.   
  • Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach a senior-level staff to manage and develop high-performance teams and develop and implement program strategies.
  • Strong computer, organizational, written and verbal communication skills; with excellent public speaking skills. 
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management.
