Assistant Project Manager/Estimator – Electrical

Salary Range: $55,000 - $80,000

Work Location: Pittsfield, MA with training in Chicopee, MA (initially)

(Please note that the training period in Chicopee is for an unspecified duration, but has flexibility.  Permanent location is Pittsfield, MA.)

 The Assistant Project Manager will assist Project Manager with project-related administrative tasks and assist the project manager and foreman in obtaining any information or support needed for the timely and efficient completion of construction. They will be expected to be involved throughout the construction process, from bidding to project closeout.

 Responsibilities:

  • Project Management Software Management
  • Creation and maintenance of projects within our management software during the entire project cycle
    • Document Management
    • Keeping drawings sets up to date
    • Tracking and managing submittals
    • Managing safety-related paperwork and forms
    • Updating, tracking, and reviewing RFIs
    • Change Order Management
  • Updating PCO log and reporting new changes to PM
  • Tracking the effect of PCO’s on package releases
  • Tracking and reviewing bulletins
  • Managing and pricing time and material slips
  • Management and pricing of time and material slips
    • Track project progress and benchmarks and make schedule and contract adjustments as needed
    • Complete and track new hiring paperwork and testing and ensure compliance with jobsite requirements
  • Providing information from the most up-to-date project related documents
  • Working with purchasing to ensure all materials received are correct and on time
  • Assist in completing required project-specific documentation
  • Assist with project safety documentation
  • Visiting active construction sites

 

Required Skills/Preferred

  • Electrical experience is a must, electrical license (regardless of state) is required
  • Detailed oriented and have a willingness to take on new responsibilities
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and general technical ability and aptitude
  • Experience with Procore or similar program
