Forest Park Country Club (FPCC) is a recreational non-profit organization located at the base of Mt. Greylock in Adams, MA. FPCC operates seasonally as a 9-hole golf course, bar and banquet/events space that is focused on serving its membership while also warmly welcoming the general public.
FPCC is seeking a motivated, outgoing and highly organized Club Manager that will be responsible for day-to-day operations. The ability to work in a team setting and directly with the general public while managing multiple individual responsibilities is required. Position will report to the Board of Managers and work closely with Club Officers, Course Superintendent and all crew. The Club Manager will be responsible for supervision and oversight of all part-time bartenders and related front-of-house staff. Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience in the hospitality industry, familiarity with the game of golf and its operations, and a strong comfort level with customer relations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily business including the golf operation, bar and event facilities.
- Scheduling, training and supervising all bar and front-of-house employees.
- Working with the Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer to track membership dues, greens fees, bar and banquet receipts and all other transactions.
- Working with the Tournaments Committee to organize/facilitate all club-sponsored golf tournaments and assisting with all outside tournaments.
- Inventory and order all beer, wine, liquor, and clubhouse supplies.
- Coordinating the daily cleaning of all facilities including the bar area, porches, bathrooms, and events space.
- Oversight of daily maintenance for rental golf cart fleet, including cleaning, fueling and tracking use of carts.
- Routine maintenance of the GHIN handicap system for members.
- Primary facilitation of seasonal opening and closing of the clubhouse.
