Key Responsibilities (Include the following, but are not limited to)

  • Computer skills:  Ability to understand and utilize MRP system as required to perform related stockroom duties.  In addition, must be able to operate various computer programs related to their position for time recording, access to shop planning and business instructions.
  • Load and unload trucks, handle various materials to support receiving and shipments
  • Ability to count and use counting devices to maintain accurate inventory
  • Perform stock room activities such as but not limited to: placing & removing material in assigned locations, inventory management, audits for count accuracy, maintain tooling database and issuing tooling to assembly personnel as needed, etc.
  • Move material between buildings and to external dumpsters
  • Must be able to work from platforms, ladders, steps and the like, to heights in excess of 12 feet
  • Dispose of scrap material as required
  • Make boxes, packages, crates, skids, etc. to ensure timely shipment of material
  • Make preservation packaging per instructions for long term storage of customer parts
  • Work from drawings, sketches, verbal and written instructions, etc.
  • Perform related duties as required.
  • May give work direction/training to other employees as assigned.
  • Must be able to obtain the certificates, licenses and registrations required for their positions as defined in the qualifications below
  • Maintain the work area and perform duties in a safe manner. 
  • Ability to move pallets of material from one location to another
  • Ability to move boxes/tri-walls into areas which have various pieces of equipment for the various workstations

Ability to drive forktrucks and worksavers throughout the buildings 


Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Related experience and or training is desirable

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratios, percent and interpret graphs

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively with other employees of the organization

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:

  • Fork Truck Certification; ESD Handling Certification; Work Saver Usage Training; Crane Operator Training; Hi Rise Operation; Hazardous Material Handling and Shipping Training
  • Security Clearance when required

Physical Demands:

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and climb stairs and / or to use hands to finger, handle and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; and talk and hear for 8 hours a day
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds without mechanical assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to some variation in work area temperature, moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals.  The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
