Position Overview:
The Licensed Social Worker (Early Intervention) provides early preventive services to young children (birth to age 3) who have or are at risk for developing delays and their caregivers. The Licensed Social Worker position at UCP offers a perfect opportunity for the right clinician who is non judgemental, understanding, compassionate and can meet families where they are. You will provide behavioral therapy, mental health support, and parenting skills training to children (birth to age 3) and their caregivers. Caseload is in Northern Berkshire County, Massachusetts with work conducted during home visits or other natural settings using a family-centered approach.
Licensed Social Worker (Early Intervention) Responsibilities
- Participate in multidisciplinary team evaluations and the development of IFSP
- Provide support for the parents/caregivers of enrolled children around family issues, resources, and needs
- Social/emotional assessments
- Co-facilitate developmental child or parent groups with other interdisciplinary staff
- Provide support to other Early Intervention staff regarding social/emotional and family issues
- Attend community outreach efforts to promote early intervention awareness and child find
- Provide scheduling opportunities that meet family needs such as late afternoons or early mornings
- Participate in continuing education in the field of early intervention/childhood development
- Maintain productivity requirements for billable services
