Description: | Position: Accounting & Finance Manager Reports to: President & COO, MountainOne Insurance Agency Grade:107 Supervises: Accounting Personnel Location: North Adams The salary range for this role is $62,000 - $92,000 Oversee all Accounting functions for MountainOne Insurance Agency and coordinate with MountainOne Bank, internal employees, vendors, insurance carriers and clients to ensure the highest level of data accuracy and quality control. Primary Responsibilities: - Manage Accounts Receivable processes, including verification, invoicing and financing agreements.
- Manage Accounts Payable processes, including agency bill items, issuing checks, vendor payables, and reconciliation.
- Process and reconcile direct bill commissions.
- Create and post journal entries as needed.
- Provide employee support for reporting, log-in help and other quality control items as needed.
- Create and track Producer commissions and report monthly draw schedule to Producer, management and Bank.
- Track and report on monthly incentive reports for Account Managers.
- Manage Employee Benefits commission tracking and reporting.
- Reconcile Bank statements.
- Month-end processing and reporting.
- Manage insurance compliance processes as liaison with Bank.
- Annual tax and insurance division reporting.
- File annual reports with various states.
- File PFML and HIRD in coordination with Human Resources.
- Assist with acquisitions and agency management system conversions.
- Manage insurance company files.
- Any other duties which are required by management.
Qualifications: - High School Diploma.
- Ability to learn insurance work methods and procedures.
- Ability to verbally effectively present information to clients, company and agency staff.
- Ability to be self-motivated, provide problem-solving capabilities and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Commitment to the company’s culture and established service standards.
- Ability to deal with and show discretion in confidential matters.
- 25% availability to travel outside of 25-mile radius and report to any office.
