Description:

The General Electric Athletic Club (GEAA) is seeking an experienced and motivated Golf General Manager to lead all aspects of golf course and pro shop operations during the golf season (April–October). This role oversees daily operations, staff management, member services, financial performance, marketing efforts, and event coordination, while maintaining high standards of service and course presentation.

The Golf General Manager is responsible for hiring, scheduling, and supervising golf shop staff; overseeing pro shop operations; coordinating with the course maintenance supervisor; and ensuring policies, rates, and procedures are consistently followed. The role serves as the primary point of contact for members, addressing concerns, enhancing engagement, and developing programs, leagues, tournaments, and events that improve the overall member experience.

Financial responsibilities include managing the seasonal budget, monitoring revenue and expenses, supporting merchandising and inventory control, ensuring accurate POS and accounting integration, and identifying opportunities for cost control and revenue growth, including public play offerings. The General Manager also assists with marketing initiatives, social media and communications, and promotional efforts to grow membership and increase visibility in the community.

This position works closely with the Board of Directors, attends monthly board meetings, provides in-season reporting on golf operations and revenue, and represents the club at community and industry events.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 2–5 years of leadership experience in golf or hospitality, strong financial and operational skills, and knowledge of golf course operations. The role requires flexibility, including weekends and holidays, a high level of professionalism, and a passion for delivering an exceptional golf experience.

This is a seasonal position (30–32 weeks, April–October) with a competitive salary range of $38,000–$42,000 based on experience.

Interested candidates are invited to submit a resume and cover letter detailing their qualifications and experience to: GEAA, Golf Manager Committee, 303 Crane Ave. Pittsfield, MA 01201 or geaagolf@gmail.com. Deadline for all applicants will be March 8th, 2026
