As a member of both the NARH Emergency Room and the 2 North Med Surg Team, the Resource Nurse functions as a health care team member responsible for the safe delivery of patient-centered, goal-oriented care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Requirements:
  • Experience:

    Three years’ experience as a registered nurse with experience on med/surg and in the emergency room or critical care.

  • Education and Training:

    ADN required, BSN preferred.

  • License, Certification & Registration:
    • RN - Currently licensed as an RN in Massachusetts.
    • CPR.
    • ACLS within six months of hire.
    • PALS within six months of hire.
    • NRP within six months of hire.
    • TNCC within six months of hire.
  • Other Requirements:

    Has a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures. Demonstrates continuing education in accordance with State regulations. Assures compliance with unit-specific scope of practice. Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so the requirements of the position can be fully met.
