Position Summary

Hybrid - In office 3 days per week

Pittsfield, MA or Bethlehem, PA

As an Individual Markets New Business Operations associate, you’re responsible for handling the initial application review, and policy issue for newly submitted Individual Life & Individual Disability insurance policies as well as processing policy changes and payments in compliance with regulatory and business requirements. As a member of our CARE Team, you’re part of a dynamic group focused on achieving team goals and identifying ways to improve the consumer experience.  As a Relationship Manager, you’re a primary contact to our field which includes agency office staff members, agents, elite agents, and policy holders. You’ll be skilled to triage escalations and complex requests; identify, analyze, and remedy system and process issues; and serve as a subject matter expert and leverage knowledge of products and processes to solve complex problems to deliver an exceptional service experience.

The ideal candidate will be well organized with the aptitude to learn a range of straight-forward and complex tasks including new business initial review, policy issue, processing payments and policy changes for multiple lines of business, while understanding operational and fraud controls and their importance in mitigating risk and achieving business goals. It’s paramount that you can show empathy and put the customer first when handling work, be a leader to colleagues, contribute new ideas for positive change, and desire to stretch to build the skills needed for further job advancement and career plans.

Requirements:

You have

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial service industry and high touch customer service operation
  • Proficiency in knowing a variety of business processes across product lines
  • Skill for a consumer-centric mindset; you know what it takes to deliver exceptional Wow experiences
  • Exceptional and proactive written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient communicating with consumers via various ways (e.g., email, phone, chat)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail across a variety of assignments
  • Strong proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word, and creating Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations preferred.

Salary Range: $48,170.00 - $72,260.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
