Description:

Position Summary:

Responsible for receiving and shipping of products or materials as needed including loading and unloading of trucks, crating and inspecting of shipment.   Fill requisitions, shipping orders, production work orders, and lend assistance as necessary with inventory and cycle counts. Also assists with general maintenance activities as needed including emptying dumpsters, warehouse upkeep, and organization.

  • Receives, unpacks, checks, and stores products or materials; Loads and unloads trucks.
  • Fills requisitions and orders.
  • Packs, crates, and ships products and materials.
  • Assists with inventory and cycle counts.
  • Assists in general maintenance activities including emptying of dumpsters.
  • Pulls orders for fulfillment.
  • Must have experience with all shipping vendors including UPS, FedEx, LTL, etc.
  • Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Records and reports BIN moves.
  • Collates packing slips; prints & collates FedEx, UPS, LTL, etc. labels for Shipments.
  • Receives and puts away incoming raw materials, inventory stock items, and finished goods within expected time standards (typically within 4 hours or sooner as special projects dictate).
  • Works with Material Coordinator to maintain BIN location integrity.
  • Utilize FIFO and BIN consolidation to maximize space availability.
  • Works with all departments to deliver pull materials, pick up FGs, empty hoppers, and other Forklift Tasks as required and in a timely manner.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Able to establish identity and US work authorized.
  • Must have a proven track record of forklift operation (sit down and stand-up reach trucks) and following safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents; write reports and business correspondence; ability to present information and respond to questions.
  • Must be organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with the ability to multi-task and follow instructions.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; Internet and the ability to navigate to find information a plus.
