Plastic Process Technician An Injection Molding Process Technician's primary job is to set up, monitor, operate, and troubleshoot plastic injection molding machines. This position requires specialized knowledge of materials, specific tools, and equipment. Troubleshooting tasks might include dealing with inconsistent material, faulty equipment, human error, and preventing defects from occurring. This is a second-shift position, working from 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. four days a week. Potential Overtime is available. |
Ensure injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and processes are set to regulation parameters and meet quality standards and all production goals. Set up and start up molding machines, read blueprints, and check products with calipers and other testing methods and devices. Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot processing problems, perform preventative maintenance tasks, and document process changes. Able to supervise 8-12 employees. |
