Description: | Coordinator of Family Support Center Job Type: Full Time Location: North Adams, MA Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, M-F
$1,500 Sign on Bonus
Position Description: The Coordinator of Family Support Center oversee all intakes and Family Support Center (FSC) operations including DDS training and FSC programming. The goal of this role is to expand UCP member driven programming so that UCP provides a wide range of general family support services and activities which meet the interests and needs of families of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Job Responsibilities: - Develop, coordinate, and lead family support training and recreational programming for families under the FSC contract.
- Empower families to develop leadership skills and provide relevant advice, resources, and crisis intervention as needed.
- Oversee the development and quality of FSC program curricula, ensuring proper ratios, types of activities, and staff involvement.
- Create and distribute the monthly FSC event calendar, ensuring families are well-informed about all activities.
- Manage family support intakes, including case management, service plans, and referrals to appropriate services (DDS, MRC, etc.).
- Track and process intakes and eligibility for grants, services, and FSC contracts; complete semi-annual state reports.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate assigned staff, ensuring proper scheduling, performance, and monitoring of responsibilities.
- Build partnerships with community organizations and lead outreach events to ensure culturally responsive services.
- Maintain cooperative communication with all UCP staff, families, and external agencies to ensure effective service integration.
- Adhere to all safety, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements while representing the agency professionally in the community.

Requirements: | Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates or higher-level degree in related human services field preferred.
- At least two years’ experience in a human service agency providing program services, or a minimum of three years general experience in human service- related employment field.
- One-year supervisory experience
- Case management and group facilitation experience
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate the needs of member including scheduled evenings and weekends.
- Knowledge of local community resources and community-based providers, and UCP programming
- Ability to maintain Adult/Child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Word and Outlook
- Comfortable with remote applications such as Zoom for team or other meetings.
- A valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and the availability of a private vehicle
- Acceptable CORI, SORI and DPPC background checks and national fingerprint check.
- A negative Mantoux TB test or a clear chest x-ray
