Position Overview
Join our team and make a significant impact on the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. As a seasoned clinician, you'll have the opportunity to lead and implement innovative Positive Behavioral Support (PBS) programs. Your expertise will be instrumental in empowering individuals to achieve greater independence, autonomy, and quality of life. This position provides clinical support to adults with autism and developmental disabilities as a member of the Family Support team. Responsibilities include individual and group support, program development, crisis intervention, collaboration with various stakeholders, and adherence to professional and safety protocols.
Senior Qualified Clinician Job Requirements: - Develop, implement, and oversee services designed to support adults with autism and developmental disabilities.
- Provide crisis intervention, as necessary.
- Participate as part of the multidisciplinary team in the adult referral and intake process.
- Organize and lead special programs and groups in conjunction with other clinical staff.
- Assist in developing Individualized Support Plans (ISP) focused on the unique needs and goals of each member, facilitate the development of behaviorally related implementation strategies/treatment plans, and supervise the training related to the implementation of these programs as part of the multidisciplinary team. Attend ISP meetings as requested.
- Develop intensive and targeted plans, implement, and monitor all facets of the PBS (Positive Behavioral Support) regulations put forth by DDS.
- Develop and supervise the training of and implementation of all therapeutic (Positive Behavioral Support) PBS plans.
- Conduct in-service training classes as needed for PBS overview and de-escalation as well as others as needed.
- Meet monthly with supervisor and PBS Leadership Team to ensure compliance of quality standards regarding program services.
- Create and foster relationships with DDS and community partners to facilitate collaborative efforts and integration of services.
- Consult with staff and family/caregivers as needed or requested regarding specific and general behavioral concerns.

Requirements: | Senior Qualified Clinician Qualifications: - Be currently licensed in Massachusetts in accordance with applicable law as one of the following: 1. psychologist 2. independent clinical social worker (LICSW) 3. applied behavior analyst (BCBA) 4. master’s or doctorate level speech pathologist 5. physician 6. master’s or doctorate level teacher with a certification in special education 7. licensed mental health counselor (LMHC)
- Experience in service delivery to individuals with Autism, developmental disabilities, cognitive impairment, and behavior concerns. Minimum of at least 5 years of training, including post graduate class work or formal training, and/or experience in function based behavioral assessment and treatment; and clinical experience in the treatment of individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of community-based health systems and resources
- Experience with electronic documentation.
- Ability to work flexible hours to respond to program scheduling needs.
- Ability to maintain bi-annual certification in Adult First Aid/CPR certification.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Office 365-word processing, email and database skills and remote applications such as Zoom.
- Valid driver’s license, availability of private vehicle, up-to-date car insurance
- Satisfactory background checks including CORI, SORI, DPPC, OIG, driving record and National Fingerprint Background Check
