TOWN OF BECKET:  FULL-TIME POLICE OFFICER

The Town of Becket Police Department is currently accepting applications for employment as a Full-Time Municipal Police Officer. Candidates must be able to fulfill the essential duties and responsibilities of a Patrol Officer with the Police Department. Starting pay is $66,248.00 annually before shift differential and incentives.

 Minimum Requirements:

• Current P.O.S.T. Commission certification in good standing                                                             

• High School diploma or GED

• Possess a current Driver’s license in good standing

• Be eligible for an unrestricted license to carry (LTC), MGL Chapter 140 sec 131

• Pass a background investigation

• Successful completion of all P.O.S.T. Commission pre-employment requirements

• Candidate must be physically capable of performing the requirements of the position.
