Mentor Coordinator – Youth Development Programs 18 Degrees is where new beginnings come to light for children and families – and could be where your new career does the same! At 18 Degrees, we cultivate teams and leaders to embrace the principles of diversity, equity and inclusiveness to support the needs of our community. Too many of our youth are facing challenges that put them at risk. Join 18 Degrees in giving our youth and young adults role models and coaches to realize their dreams. The Mentor Coordinator trains and supports volunteer mentors and matches them one-to-one with youth and young adults in our programs. Responsibilities include: - Interviewing and screening youth ages 10 - 24 in the programs
- Providing follow-up support and using evidence based practices
- Planning trainings and workshops that support volunteers
- Plan and implement community-based activities with staff and volunteers
- Increase and support volunteers throughout 18 Degrees
Associate’s Degree in related field preferred, but not required. 1-3 years experience in coordinator role for human services organization preferred. Volunteer experience a plus. Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office. Multi-cultural/multi-lingual candidates encouraged to apply.
