- Provides administrative support to department, performing such duties as preparing correspondence, answering phones, maintaining files and assisting staff and students as necessary.
- Prepare all officials documentation necessary to process payment.
- Arranges travel/transportation for all athletic teams to away games and practices including but not limited to bus contracting and college vans.
- Maintains, disperses and accounts for meal money for all athletic teams.
- Responsible for creation and coordination of purchase requisitions, travel requisitions, expense sheets, and manages all budget adjustment forms for the Athletic Department using appropriate software.
- Assists with reviewing and maintaining the budget for the Department.
- Provides general orientation to the department to new hires within Athletics.
- Functions as point of contact for information and questions for students, community, alumni, etc.
- Oversees and coordinates administrative support needs for the Athletic Director and Athletic Department staff.
- Manages office supplies as needed.
- Interview, hire, train, and provide direction to student employees.
- Maintains and monitors athletic department/sports fundraising accounts (manage deposits and expenses).
- Maintaining department credit cards/Walmart cards. Issuing cards to teams and entering codes into Smart Data online system and preparing end of month paperwork for Administration & Financial.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Job Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required; AAS preferred.
- Knowledge of sports and able to understand rules and regulations.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Able to work independently.
- Able to deal professionally with a variety of people and regarding problems that may arise.
- Excellent communication skills.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time benefited position in the AFSCME bargaining unit, with an annual salary of $50,000 - $55,000.
