The Department of Mathematics seeks applications for a part-time faculty member to teach mathematics or data science courses. Potential courses may include introductory courses such as Introduction to Statistics or Math for Liberal Arts, or upper-level math courses in the applicant's area of expertise. This adjunct position would be for one semester, with an opportunity for renewal. The instructor must have a combination of education and professional experience and expertise in the subject area.



Examples of Duties



  • Deliver instruction appropriate to the topic, course description, agreed-upon learning outcomes, academic level and student audience.
  • Submit syllabi, grades and other reports on time.
  • Communicate effectively with students and faculty in the department.
  • Provide assistance to students by appointment.


Job Requirements:
  • Experience commensurate with course topics.
  • Master's degree or higher in a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Previous teaching experience at the college level is strongly preferred.
