Description: | - DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
- Under the general direction of the System Pharmacy Director and in compliance with all applicable departmental and hospital policies, procedures, standards and regulatory requirements, the Pharmacy Program Coordinator is responsible and accountable for all secretarial and clerical functions of the department. This incumbent is responsible for taking and posting minutes at all departmental or other meetings. Acts as a receptionist for all visitors to the department, cordially greeting and directing department visitors to their appointments or destinations. Coordinates the activities of pharmaceutical sales representatives during visits to the Medical Center. Handles routine and advanced duties for BMC managers as assigned. Manages calendars to schedule meetings and make appointments, event planning, create correspondences, prepares reports and documents and organizes files.
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
- Experience:
- Two years office management experience required, Pharmacy experience a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to function independently.
- Experience managing purchasing activities desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to track data and formulate reports for management.
- Education and Training:
- High school graduate or high school equivalency certificate, with business training or secretarial
and data entry training preferred. - Associates Degree in Business preferred.
- License, Certification & Registration:
- Other Requirements:
- Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, and Power Point required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills a must.
- Experience handling confidential documents including personnel files.
- Self-motivated, comfortable with deadlines, ability to take direction.
- Ability to problem-solve and prioritize numerous tasks and demands.
- Demonstrated conflict resolution skills.
