Working successfully within a team, the Senior Test Engineer will execute the test approach and document system verification throughout the engineering development lifecycle. This will entail assisting in the following areas: • Generation, proofing and execution of system test work products by applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools • Development of test and diagnostic programs and completes specifications and procedures • Perform and support troubleshooting of functional, environmental, operational, and/or performance tests on hardware, software, and systems • Supporting partners in the construction and test of the Columbia Class System • May require travel to Quonset Point, RI, Pittsfield, MA and Cape Canaveral, FL to support training and tasking efforts What you’ll experience: Technologies that aren’t just top-notch, they’re often top-secret A team of bold thinkers committed to exploring what’s next Opportunities to gain new knowledge - as it’s discovered What you bring to the table: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree Solid knowledge in use and understanding of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories Solid knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages Openly proposes ideas that enhance productivity and efficiency, solicits input, and optimizes solutions What sets you apart: Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success, meeting and exceeding personal and team commitments Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity Commitment to ongoing professional development
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
