DDS In Home Support Staff
Job Type: Full Time
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week; M-F
Location: Pittsfield, MA  

$1,500 Sign-on Bonus

Job Overview:

Are you looking for rewarding work with individuals with disabilities?  UCP, a growing human services agency, works with people with disabilities in their homes and in the community. In this role, you will work with a contracted UCP member with physical or developmental disabilities in northern Berkshire County. You will help this members live "life without limits" by assisting or supervising in a variety of daily living activities.  For example, you may assist or supervise a member in household chores, menu planning, grocery shopping.  You will explore community integration such as seasonal events, hobbies and interests. Your work is done in accordance with a therapeutic goal in the member's service plan.

Requirements:

In Home Support Staff Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • A high school diploma
  • Two or more years experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Valid driver’s license, availability of private vehicle, up-to-date car insurance 
  • Appropriate communication skills to effectively communicate with members, caregivers and professionals
  • Ability to work flexible hours in order to accommodate the needs of members
  • CORI, SORI, DPPC and National Fingerprint Check
