AWC 1:1 Direct Care Staff
Job Type: Part Time (Full Time hours available if desired)
Schedule: 18 hours/week; 3 days a week
Location: Pittsfield, MA, 01201

AWC Direct Care Staff Overview:
The AWC 1:1 Direct Care Staff will provide one-on-one care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in the Pittsfield, MA area. The ideal candidate will have availability for to work three days per week. The AWC 1:1 Direct Care Staff will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, providing emotional support, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the individuals they are working with.

AWC Direct Care Staff Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding
  • Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Document and report any changes in behavior or health status
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals

AWC Direct Care Staff Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
