Description: | - Mold Maintenance & Assembly: Responsible for the assembly, changeover, and repair of injection molds to ensure consistent production readiness.
- Precision Machining: Utilize manual machinery including lathes, milling machines, presses, and grinders to fabricate or repair mold components.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Follow engineering drawings and design models to ensure every changeover and repair is executed to exact specifications.
- Process Monitoring: Review the daily mold list to prioritize jobs and monitor tools on the manufacturing line to identify necessary repairs or run-rate improvements.
- Technical Tools: Use precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, gauges, and vernier calipers to maintain high-quality standards.
- Digital Integration: Utilize 2D and 3D CAD/CAM software for manufacturing tasks and complete all necessary computer documentation upon job completion.
- Collaborative Support: Work closely with the Toolroom Manager, Engineering and Production teams to improve tool maintenance and operational flow.
- Safety & Upkeep: Perform minor machine maintenance and use hand tools (wrenches, drills, impact tools) safely and effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS - Education: High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or certification is a plus.
- Experience: Prior experience in a machining or toolroom environment is preferred, but we are open to entry-level candidates with high mechanical aptitude.
- Technical Skills: Excellent proficiency in shop math, reading, and writing. Ability to interpret technical prints and design models.
- Soft Skills: Must be energetic, enthusiastic, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency required; experience with Microsoft Office or CAD/CAM software is a plus.
- Requirements: Must pass a pre-placement physical and drug test. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently is required.
