Description:
  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • This position provides analytic, program and educational support for performance improvement initiatives within the Level III Trauma Program and the Orthopaedic Service Line.  As a key team member, this position impacts patient outcomes, safety, efficiency, and patient experience of surgical patients.  

      Through data collection and analysis, this position is integral to identifying operational issues and solutions for continuous improvement. 

      Berkshire Medical Center is Accredited by the Joint Commission, designated a Level III Trauma Program by the American College of Surgeons, holds Joint Commission Certification for Total Hip and Knee Replacement, is rated 5-Stars in Total Knee Replacement (IP and OP) by Healthgrades, and designated Star Performer for ‘Own the Bone’, an American Orthopaedic Association program focused on preventing osteoporotic fractures.  

      Berkshire Medical Center is also recognized by the American College of Surgeons as a Surgical Quality Partner and has an accredited Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Center.

  • POSITION REQUIREMENTS
    • Experience:
        • Three (3) years’ experience in quality management or previous experience in surgical clinical setting(s) required.

        • Evidence of strong computer skills and experience with databases, registries and/or analytic software

        • Experience working across multiple surgical disciplines and professional roles. 

        • Previous work on registries/database strongly preferred.

        • Experience with performance improvement initiatives

        • Experience supporting regulatory surveys preferred.
    • Education:

        • Associate degree required, healthcare related field preferred.

        • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related healthcare profession preferred.
    • License, Certification  & Registration:
          • Successful completion of the Society of Trauma Nurses TOPIC Course within 6 months of hire.
