Position Overview: UCP is a growing human services agency with two offices in Berkshire County and 130 employees. As the HR Coordinator, you will be part of a small, dynamic HR team, reporting directly to the HR Director. This role requires a customer-service focus, resourcefulness, flexibility, and a hands-on approach. Your goal will be to provide UCP employees and managers with the support and resources they need to succeed at work, with a focus on recruiting support, ultimately helping UCP members live life without limits.
Human Resources Coordinator Responsibilities
Recruitment and Onboarding: - Manage the hiring process from job requests to onboarding, including creating job postings and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Conduct reference checks and background screenings, and ensure all pre-employment requirements are met.
- Attend local job fairs and promote employment opportunities.
Compliance: - Ensure accurate and timely documentation of employee records in the HRIS.
- Stay updated on HR trends and legal changes, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Assist with performance management processes.
HR Support: - Utilize Canva or similar tools to create engaging communications and materials for recruitment and employee engagement.
- Provide HR support to employees, managers, and directors, addressing inquiries and concerns.
- Participate in projects that help achieve HR goals for the organization.

Requirements: | Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; aPHR certification and one year of HR experience (employee relations, HRIS, or recruiting) or commensurate combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in a Windows-based environment, including email, Excel, and SharePoint/OneDrive.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to relate to individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work primarily in an office setting in North Adams, with occasional offsite meetings and travel to job fairs.
- Access to private vehicle and driver's license.
- Satisfactory CORI/SORI and professional references.
