Description:

POSITION DESCRIPTION:  The ABI/MFP Assistant Director is responsible for overseeing the ABI/MFP House Managers, staffing and operations of multiple group homes for adults with disabilities.  The ABI/MFP Assistant Director will train and supervise staff members.  Ensure that the homes are safe, clean, and comfortable at all times.  Makes certain that individuals are given all needed supports to help them live as independently as possible, maintain optimal health and are given sufficient opportunities to engage in their desired activities and interests at home and in the community.  Travel between locations in Berkshire, Hampden and Hampshire Counties required.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum of two years’ experience providing residential supports or Associates Degree with one additional year of related experience.  A minimum of one-year supervisory experience is required with either degree. High school diploma or GED with 4 years working with individuals with disabilities, 2 years in a supervisory capacity.  Ability to complete all initial and ongoing background checks including but not limited to: CORI, SORI, Fingerprinting, LEIE, Driving record, E-verify, Physical, PPD and licensing and/or certification checks (i.e., nursing).  Valid US driver’s license and ready access to a vehicle.
