Radiation Therapist – Full Time – Day Shift

Pay Range: $39/hour for entry level. Pay based on experience.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Primary Function
  • Administers radiation treatments, simulations, dosimetry functions, and fabricates blocks in preparation for treatment
  • Requires initiative and independent judgment
  • Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required
  • Performs radiation therapy treatments as required in either a scheduled or emergent environment under the supervision of the Radiation Oncologist
  • Updates procedure manuals as needed
  • Manages daily treatment schedule of all assignments on the clinical equipment
  • Observes and demonstrates familiarity with all safety features in each clinical area
  • Works closely with reception, Nursing, and physician components in the provision of patient care
• Position Qualifications
  • Experience
    • Minimum active exposure in approved program for Radiation Therapy
  • Education and Training
    • Must have completed formal training from a JRCERT accredited radiation therapy program
  • License, Certification & Registration
    • MALIC - Massachusetts Radiology License
    • CPR - CPR Required
    • ARRT(T) - Radiation Therapy
• Other Requirements
  • Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high stress, work intensive environment
  • Attendance at all mandatory education is required
