| <p><strong>JOB SUMMARY: </strong>The Painter is responsible for the preparation and finishing of the vehicles and parts.</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>Apply undercoats and finish coats using the full range of application methods and materials</li><li>Mix and match paints and finishes</li><li>Use various methods to prepare surface for painting</li><li>Examine and feel all surfaces of metal to detect defects</li><li>Mask surfaces with tape and paper</li><li>Maintain a clean and tidy work area</li><li>Complete all documentation including inspection sheets</li><li>Identify areas of process improvement, cost and waste reduction</li><li>Work in an efficient and timely manner</li><li>Maintain cooperative working relationships, and demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse population</li><li>Record all hours worked accurately</li></ul><p><strong>ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>Safely store and label materials</li><li>Perform routine maintenance on paint booths, guns and gun cleaner</li><li>Adhere to and carry out existing work practices, procedures and policies</li><li>Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate</li><li>Understand and comply with safety and environmental policies</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>INTERACTION WITH:</strong></p><ul><li>Stock room as well as numerous levels of internal staff within a variety of departments</li><li>Occasional Customer interaction</li></ul><p><strong>SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:</strong></p><ul><li>None</li></ul> | |
