Description:

Job Summary:The Receiving Clerk will accept and process deliveries. Responsibilities include verifying delivered items, unloading trucks, ensuring items are stored correctly and processing returns. The Receiving Clerk will be able to inspect deliveries with great attention to detail, be in good physical condition to lift and move heavy items ensure efficient receiving processes and promptly resolve any problems or discrepancies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries

· Receive shipments and signing paperwork upon receipt

· Unload packages from incoming trucks

· Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged

· Clean and disinfect incoming packages

· Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)

· Assist in packaging and shipping out going shipments

· Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated area(s)

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:

· Proven experience as receiving clerk or similar position

· Experience in operating forklifts

EDUCATION:

· High school diploma or GED equivalent

CERTIFICATIONS:

· Forklift certified preferred but not required

· Valid driver’s license

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

· Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data

· Solid understanding of health and safety regulations

· Basic math and recording abilities

· Excellent organizational skills

· Great communication and interpersonal abilities

· Keen eye for detail

· Good physical condition

EQUIPMENT USED:

· Forklift

· Computer

· Pallet jack

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Must be able to pass physical exam

· Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.

· Ability to exert maximum force to pull and carry objects

· Must be able to climb into, onto and under vehicle

· Extended periods of sitting, standing, bending, squatting and kneeling

· Vision a minimum 20/40 with or without corrective lenses

· Good hearing
