Description

In this unique and exciting internship position, the Marketing Intern and Social Media Liaison will support Marketing and Community Engagement efforts at MountainOne, while playing a direct role in supporting these efforts for our Community Partner and hometown Ball club, the North Adams SteepleCats.

This intern will play a pivotal role in MountainOne's internal and external communications, marketing initiatives, and community engagement efforts. Responsibilities include representing MountainOne and the SteepleCats Baseball Club, and contributing to social media content for the SteepleCats. They will also support internal intranet content, promo inventory management, participate in team meetings, and assist with business data analytics. There may be other marketing, community engagement, and administrative duties as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Creating daily content for the team's social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter,Instagram, and TikTok)
  • Updating and publishing content (videos, stories, and photos) on our website
  • Writing and posting original captions, tweets, etc.
  • Preparing content for future posts
  • Creating exciting and relevant graphics
  • Create flyers for theme nights / game announcements/postponements
  • Being up-to-date on the latest social media trends and technologies
  • Monitoring and replying to fan comments, messages, questions, etc.
  • Tracking and analyzing the team's social media activity and engagement
  • Working closely with the Content Creator

 
Position Requirements

Skills & Requirements:

  • Capacity to think creatively and contribute new ideas
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Familiarity with programs like Photoshop or Canva
  • Detail-oriented and strong organization and project management skills
  • Understanding of social media platforms and appropriate use in a business setting
  • Enrolled in a two—or four-year academic program, preferably majoring in Marketing, Business Administration, Sports Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Communications, or related fields.
  • Tech Savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and social media platforms. Experience with Canva and corporate social media is a must
  • Organized and dependable, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including grammar and email etiquette.
  • Positive attitude to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal staff, community contacts, and vendors.
  • Excellent sense of confidentiality, professionalism, and business etiquette, including professional appearance and deportment.
  • Ability to regularly lift, bend, and stand, especially to set up events.
  • Ability to work regularly in the North Adams office and travel locally (North Adams, Williamstown, Pittsfield, and Stockbridge) for events with reliable transportation.
  • This is 40 hour, temporary, hourly position. The intern can work during a regular business day schedule and has flexibility for events on weekends and outside regular business hours

Other Requirements

  • Flexibility and availability to service all banking hours, as needed.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time outside a 50-mile radius.
  • Ability to sit, drive, bend, make/answer telephone calls.
