| Berkshire Precision Tool, LLC has an opening for a Maintenance Manager. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the upkeep of equipment, buildings, grounds, vehicles and facilities of the Berkshire Precision Tool LLC manufacturing plant located in Pittsfield, MA. Duties include the installation, relocation, and repair of Computerized Numerically Controlled Grinding Machines as well general maintenance and repairs to HVAC, Electrical and Compressed air systems. Duties also include compliance with all City, State, and Federal Safety and Environmental regulations. This is a “hands on position” requiring knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, mechanical and electrical systems, and troubleshooting of complex machine tools. The Maintenance Manager will ensure there is an adequate inventory of spare parts and materials in house to minimize machine downtime. The successful candidate will have excellent supervisory skills and be highly motivated, team driven, detail oriented and organized. Knowledge of TPM and Lean Manufacturing is desirable. Preferred educational requirements for this position are a technical BS degree. A Journeyman certificate or equivalent experience will be considered. Must be certified to operate powered industrial vehicles such as fork lifts, man lifts. A valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required. Experienced with Widows Office and comfortable with PC work. Will be required to take and pass the requirements for an MA Class 1-C hoist license.
