Are you a direct care provider looking for full time rewarding work with children or adults with disabilities in the local community? As a Family Support Advocate for UCP you will support children and adults in activities that focus on community inclusion and socialization. Your day may include social, volunteer and recreational activities, supporting safety and health care, and managing physical and behavioral challenges. Your work will take into account the hobbies, activities, interests and life skills needs of the member. This could include activities such as money management, cooking, or shopping. Your services will take place in the community in which the member lives, at their home, or any other location that both the member and family deem appropriate throughout the day or according to their schedule. Some afternoon and evening hours may be required. You must be able to work in both Pittsfield and North Adams areas depending on the location of the members you work with.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. UCP of Western Massachusetts is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
