JOB SUMMARY:          The Sales Engineer will interface between the US & International Sales team and the Engineering and Technical departments to help prepare sales materials, bid proposals, and technical documents.  The Sales Engineer will also support Lenco’s internal processing utilizing Lenco’s CRM and overall ERP systems.  

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist sales staff (vehicles and parts) in identifying technical information related to vehicle equipment and features as requested by Lenco end users
  • Assist US and International Sales Managers with review and completion of technical compliance paperwork required for competitive bid opportunities
  • Lead New Product Development process, from creation through final addition to ERP
  • Assist Engineering Department in development and maintenance of Quotation Configuration tool in company ERP system
  • Assist Marketing Manager in reviewing technical data on all company printed sales materials
  • Coordinate with Engineering to develop an understanding of US and international automotive regulations and standards
  • Review and update key data in Lenco CRM to ensure accuracy and efficient sales process workflow

 ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Learn the Lenco product line, technical features, options list, and end uses
  • Master Lenco CRM and ERP Sales modules
  • Adhere to and carry out existing work practices, procedures, and policies
  • Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines
  • Some travel may to industry trade shows
  • Understand and comply with safety and environmental policies
  • Other duties as assigned

 INTERACTION WITH:

  • Work closely with US and International Sales Managers, Marketing, Contracting, Engineering, and Technical Services Departments
  • Telephone and email contact with domestic and international Law Enforcement, Military and Government personnel

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum five (5) years in sales role within a technical product line
  • CRM and general ERP experience
  • Sales or Technical Service experience

 EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

 CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Citizenship Requirements (ITAR Export Controls)

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Advanced skillset in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • A friendly, courteous and professional manner is a must
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and vendors
