Description:
JOB SUMMARY: The Warehouse Shipper is primarily responsible for organizing, planning and packaging outgoing shipments both physically and electronically in Lenco’s ERP system.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Obtain and process out-going product orders
• Material handling and stocking of materials into proper storage areas
• Accurately package, label and weigh items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and shipping charges
• Schedule shipment and plan logistics utilizing shipping vendors (FedEx, UPS, etc.) to ensure timely delivery of product to our customers
• Utilize ERP system to track and record inventoried items
• Maintain records of shipped goods
• Troubleshoot shipping issues and customer complaints that arise
• Assist in kit assembly
• Assist receiver with unloading trucks

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Build shipping boxes and crates as necessary
• Keep hand tools in organized and working order
• General assistance to other employees when requested
• Maintain the stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis
• General upkeep, maintenance and cleanliness of stockroom and work area
Requirements:
INTERACTION WITH:
• Purchasing Department
• Production Department as well as numerous levels of internal staff within a variety of departments
• Customers and vendors

SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:
• Notify manager of non-conforming product
• Notify manager of unsafe equipment or work practices

EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 3 years’ inventory control experience

EDUCATION:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent

CERTIFICATIONS:
• Forklift certified
• Overhead crane certified
• Valid driver’s license

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Ability to follow directions
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Knowledge of safety equipment and proper workplace safety practices
• Ability to recognize problems as they occur in a job procedure
• Computer literate
• Carpentry skills including ability to read a tape measure
• Microsoft Office Suite
• ERP system familiarity
• Excellent listening skills

• Basic math skills required (add, subtract, divide and multiply)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Must be able to pass physical exam
• Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.
• Ability to exert maximum force to pull and carry objects
• Must be able to climb into, onto and under vehicle
• Extended periods of sitting, standing, bending, squatting and kneeling
• Vision a minimum 20/40 with or without corrective lenses
• Good hearing
