Visitor Service Assistant
High School or Equivalent

Customer Service, Computer and Register Proficiency - Preference: Required
Maintain efficient admission operations and orient visitors to museum options including tours and benefits of membership. Work closely with Visitor Service staff to ensure optimum communication among all staff across the daily operation of the museum. Prepare and process visitor admissions using point of sale system. Responsible for opening and closing tasks, process group tour reservations, greet buses and other groups as required, answer and respond to incoming calls. Perform other duties as required.
Warm, friendly, courteous, unflappable, and helpful qualities a must! People-oriented with a commitment to quality customer service and an interest in the visual arts. Work well with the public and as a team player with a diverse staff and exercise sound judgment, tact and diplomacy. Proficient with the operation of computers and registers. Possess strong writing and organizational skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Leadership skills a plus. Detail oriented, highly professional, and enthusiastic in support of the Museum and its mission.
At least one year related experience. Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with Counterpoint and VISTA software a plus.
