Exciting Legal Assistant opportunity in Great Barrington! Legal experience or schooling is not required as long you have computer savvy, Strong MS Office, a GREAT Customer Service Mindset and have the desire to learn the legal side of this great administrative role.  

This client is willing to train on the Corporate, Estate Planning and Probate side of the business.   This Legal Assistant opportunity is temp to hire, but they will also consider a Direct Hire candidate. Pay to be based on experience, anticipated to be between $20-$24/HR for this full time position. 
Duties include: 

  • Process and manage corporate document preparations and filings, process and manage probate and estate planning files, assist and support attorney(s) with general legal matters as well as supporting the other legal assistants and staff
  • Type, format and prepare various forms, templates and documents
  • Prepare, Manage, Organize and update relevant data using database
  • Communicate, provide and obtain info to and from clients, attorneys, courts, towns, state agencies and other third parties
  • Manage and track billable time and deadlines in calendars
  • Develop and foster client and vendor relationships
  • Organize and maintain documents in paper and/or electronic records
  • Working with numbers, accountings, rents and taxes
  • Participation in meetings and educational sessions
  • Working MS Office Knowledge- to Include Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Great attention to detail
