Location: 99 North Street, Pittsfield, MA
Analyst assists the Treasury department in the investment, liquidity, capital and asset liability management functions of the Bank.
Analyst will be responsible for updating the applications that house the Bank’s investment portfolio, including the Bank’s BOLI portfolio. Individual will also prepare reports on Treasury investments and investment strategy, including customized investment analysis. Analyst will track pledging of investment securities for various stakeholders and ensure accurate reporting where applicable. Manage and initiate funds payments for various Treasury products such as investments, swaps, brokered certificate, and borrowings.
Maintains investment subsystems and develops various reports regarding the Bank’s investment portfolios (investment portfolios by type and life, credit rating, cash flow analysis, etc.) that provides information on the investment securities performance, cash flow and liquidity. Creates statements for local municipal customers 35%
Prepare and analyze cash forecasts to support borrowing needs. Engages in the trading of Federal Funds, Brokered deposits and FHLB short term advances necessary to meet the Bank’s cash requirements and reserve requirements at the Federal Reserve. 25%
Ensures reports filed for pledging purposes are accurate, complete and timely. This includes FHLB Borrowings and security pledging reports. 15%
Manages and initiates funds payments for various Treasury products such as investments, swaps, brokered certificate, and borrowings. 15%
Maintains the tracking and accounting for the Bank’s BOLI products. 10%
Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one’s duties.

Bachelor’s Degree – Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience
2+ years’ experience in financial analysis or accounting
Skills & Knowledge:
Proficient computer skills, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Excellent mathematics and communication skills
Ability to work independently
Demonstrated self-starter that can/will identify and analyze profitable strategies
