The Outreach Counselor provides a variety of supports and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities in the community and to their family members. They provide guidance and training in developing skills needed to live independently. Outreach Counselors ensure that people supported reside in a safe and healthy environment with proper access to medical and social supports.
Sign On Bonus Method of Distribution** (to be paid the subsequent payroll of the defined measurement periods): Sign on bonus of $3,000 will be paid after successfully completing 60 days of employment.
** Staff must be in good standing to receive bonus distribution and actively working.
Must be hired into a Full Time (30 or more hours/week) and a Massachusetts resident to be eligible. Management reserves the right to end or extend program based on funding and needs of the program(s) at any time.
Min of 18 years of age. High School Diploma/GED or one year experience in a related field, must possess basic math (addition/subtraction) skills, ability to read & write, communicate effectively both verbally and written, ability to multi-task and exercise good judgement. Ability to complete all initial and ongoing background checks including but not limited to: CORI, SORI, Fingerprinting, LEIE, Driving record, E-verify, Physical, PPD and licensing and/or certification checks (i.e. nursing). Valid US driver’s license and ready access to a vehicle.
