Carr Hardware is a locally owned independent hardware and industrial supplier. Carr serves homeowners, contractors, commercial customers, institutions and government agencies throughout the state of Massachusetts, Connecticut and surrounding areas of New York State and Vermont. Carr offers over 40,000 different products including paint, tools, hardware, electrical, plumbing, outdoor living and lawn and garden and so much more.
We seek a Part-time all round Sales Associates. The primary goal is to build strong relationships with our customers. Candidates must possess a strong attention to detail, results oriented whilst delivering outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities of the Sales Associate
Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, or vouchers
Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
Greet customers entering establishments
Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas
Establish or identify prices of goods, services or admission, and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners.
Resolve customer complaints. Answer customers' questions, or pass to a specialist
Compute and record totals of transactions.
Process merchandise returns and exchanges.
Stock shelves, and mark prices on shelves and items.
*Perform other similar duties as assigned by Manager.
