County Ambulance

County Ambulance Service was founded in 1982 by the Andrews family. Today, County Ambulance is the largest ambulance service in Western Massachusetts with over 100 employees, a fleet of over 20 vehicles and two locations in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Due to the hard work of the many employees and management, County Ambulance is recognized as leaders in the industry. Training, quality improvements programs and relationships we have with facilities such as Berkshire Medical Center have also enhanced the reputation of being one of the finest ambulance companies anywhere in the region. County provides 9-1-1 emergency ambulance service to the City of Pittsfield. Over nearly 30 years of providing that service has brought the Pittsfield EMS system to one of the finest in the state in cooperation with many City agencies. We also provide Paramedic Intercept Service to Central and South County ambulance services. The Chair Car Division provides private wheelchair van transports for those clients in need as well as transportation for others that may be disabled or injured. County Ambulance Service is an EOE.
