The position is responsible for the development of and strategic and tactical implementation of an organizational wide strategy for payer reimbursement, both private (e.g. managed care contracts) and governmental (e.g. Medicare, Medicaid) that result in valued-based purchasing. Pricing, network access, competitive position and progressive reimbursement methodology strategies must all be developed and implemented in a consistent manner in all the markets. The Director will work to manage existing and develop new participating network contracts to maximize patient access and revenue. Contracting activities include, but not limited to, the identification of opportunities to improve financial and market share performance, analysis, maintenance, negotiation, and renegotiation of all agreements with current and prospective providers of healthcare services. Serves as program manager of the initial contract implementation. Minimum 7 - 10 years of progressive healthcare experience and leadership. Significant knowledge in cost structure, various reimbursement methodologies and payment systems, contractual, administrative, insurance, or operations issues related to managed care organizations. Minimum 7 - 10 years leadership experience within the healthcare industry with a focus on performance, previous Director level experience preferred Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline. Master's Degree preferred. |
