Berkshire County Arc is a non-profit human service agency that has been providing community-based services to adults with developmental disabilities and/or brain injuries for over 50 yrs. Berkshire County Arc’s mission is to assist and support individuals in their quest to identify and realize their chosen lifestyles. This is accomplished through various programs offered: residential homes including independent apartments, employment services, day programs, adult family care, transitions, advocacy & family support, special needs pooled trusts and a mail-house staffed by people with disabilities that serves dozens of businesses across Western Massachusetts.

Berkshire County Arc’s programs are offered in Berkshire County and Pioneer Valley. We serve nearly 1,000 individuals per year and have over 700 dedicated staff.

$500 Sign On

Under the direction of the Supervisor of Behavioral Services, staff will provide assist with teaching life skills to individuals in their communities, own home, or other BCArc approved site.  

Responsibilities:

  • Implement components of skill acquisition by following teaching plan.
  • Be prepared for all sessions with individuals (includes supplies, data sheets, programmatic changes).
  • Maintain accurate and complete records, data, and reports as
  • Computer skills are necessary to complete documentation requested from the Department of Developmental Services and DESE.
  • Attend individuals’ DESE meetings and report on data collection when requested.
  • Seek out the family, Supervisor of Behavioral Services, or on-call supervisor to arrange for medical treatment of individual if needed.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years experience working in the Human Service field, or education.
