Company Description: Child Care of the Berkshires is a large not-for profit, early care and family support agency, operating a variety of programs throughout Berkshire County, including child care centers, a network of family child care homes, home visiting programs, parent child playgroups, parent education and skill building programs.
Its mission is to promote and strengthen families through the provision of high quality child care services to families whose parents are working or in training or, for any number of reasons, cannot adequately care for the children as well as other types of social and educational services which directly affect families and their well being.

TITLE: Substitute Teachers
Substitute Teachers wanted for Childcare Centers in Adams, North Adams, or Pittsfield. On call basis. Year-round programs, shifts are between 7:30am – 5:30 pm, various short and long shifts available.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Program Director
RESPONSIBILITIES: To work as part of a teaching team to implement an exciting and nurturing developmentally appropriate curriculum for a groups of children (Infants, Toddlers, Preschoolers, and School-age). S/he will be responsible for engaging in enriching activities and opportunities as part of a literacy based curriculum.
QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer bachelor's degree.
Prefer previous experience in early childhood or school age setting.
Prefer certificate in First Aid and CPR.
Must demonstrate nurturing skills with children, cooperativeness with adults and commitment to professional development.
Must demonstrate dependability, maturity and flexibility.
Must be in good health, free of contagious diseases and have record of up-to-date immunization.
SALARY RANGE: $11.00-$12.00 per hour
