The In-Home Family Support worker provides targeted behavioral interventions and developmentally appropriate activities to support both a child and his/her family. Duties and responsibilities 1.Establish a positive, secure and productive relationship with child and their family. 2.Understand and implement a targeted behavioral plan. 3.Work with the child’s support systems to acquire and share information, goals and strategies. 4.Support a client’s behavior plan while either engaging client in required activities (school, chores, etc.) and/or pursuing leisure activities (outdoor play, board games, etc.) 5.Provide life skills support, as necessary, to include but not be limited to toileting, feeding and personal hygiene. 6.Write legible daily notes in required format to enter into client file. 7.Record all required data as determined by behavioral plan. 8.Maintain professional demeanor and appropriate boundaries with client and family to include, but not be limited to, cultural competency, privacy and confidentiality. 9.Adhere to schedule as established by family and clinical team. | |
Requirements: | |
Qualifications include: •College degree or an equivalent of education and experience •Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and the ability to travel, as assigned. •CPR and First Aid Certified •Experience working with children with challenging behaviors •Interest in sharing knowledge and skills with children •Reliability, punctuality and a desire to make a difference in the life of a child. •Familiarity with Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel |
