Job Summary: 1Berkshire is seeking a confident, highly organized, positive and enthusiastic Member Services Coordinator to join our Member Services Team. The ability to work with a high-energy team and demonstrate personal initiative while managing multiple individual responsibilities is required. Position will report to the Director of Member Services, and will support membership recruitment & retention, member relations & promotion, sponsorship solicitation and event management within the 1Berkshire portfolio. Successful candidates will have strong familiarity with the Berkshire region, excellent verbal communication and writing skills, social media skills and a high comfort level with customer relations, consultative sales and member recruitment.
Coordinate and organize all aspects of the membership process for assigned region, including prospecting, enrollment, engagement, promotion and renewal.
Assure exceptional customer service in response to member requests/concerns.
Grow member engagement in event attendance, sponsorship and advertising opportunities.
Support events managed by the Member Services Team.
Maintain member profiles in database, sharing important changes with team.
Regularly analyze and report member enrollment statistics, revenue and other key
Coordinate the 1Berkshire social media presence to promote members and create buzz.
Serve on any boards or committees as assigned by Director of Member Services and CEO.
Represent 1Berkshire in the community, at events and off-site meetings as required, including some evenings and occasional weekends.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Engaging, enthusiastic and positive personality
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including spoken and written communication
Self-motivated, initiative and persistence
Project management, organizational, and administrative skills
Preferred experience with sales and/or development, database management and social media
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to think creatively and strategically
Knowledge of the Berkshire region, membership organizations, and economic development is a plus
